Lynda if he doesn't like being underground then he really wouldn' like this. Maybe that's the reason? Honestly the first couple of minutes I was underground knowing I couldn't get out easily was scary - as in panicky- but I got used to it- maybe he would too:) jo

Sounds Great (Reply to this comment)

Hi Jo.... It sounds like you had a great time. If I'm ever in that area I will have to check it out. (that is if my husband would take the time out for such things) he doesn't seem to be too much for caves and all that fun stuff. Good Lord, I'm trying to convince him into going to such simple places like Howe Caverns and Secret Caverns here in NY. It's like pulling teeth. ha ha ha.... I guess I can't win them all. But your review was great. Makes me want to go. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself there. =)

Hi Claudia, Deb and Barbara..first this is great that our laptop is getting reception. It's the fancy Motorola V300 I bought acting as a modem. Problem is I just don't have time to write as I go and we are doing so much! They'll get written, though, as you said in increments. And Deb...something tells me you can buy yourself some boots:) if not sneakers will do. Come on down and visit those relatives. Didn't take you as a Kentucky gal. Must be the lack of accent! jo

This was a most excellent and most helpful review.
All of my relatives are from Kentucky, so I have been here many times as a kid. It would be nice to go back as an adult. Problem is.....I don't have those hiking boots!
Hope all is well!

Hi Bryan, this trip is so cool:) No we came to Tenn from Kentucky and never hit eastern Tenn. We spent several days in Nashville and right now are camping literally next door to The Heartbreak Hotel in Memphis. We'll be here for a few days and then on to Hot Springs, Ark. There is so much country to see - even in 3 months we had to pick and choose! jo

A BIG Place (Reply to this comment)

Mammoth Cave is a massive cave system. It's good to hear that you added it to your travel plans. It also sounds like the prices for tours have increased a little bit since the last time I was there.
Are you going to be visiting any sites and attractions in Eastern Tennessee?
