We had seen an advertisement about Platte Park having "teepee's" to rent but our timing was off. We planned our trip late... arriving at Platte Park on November 1st we missed the "teepee" season ....BUT they have cabins!!! What a cabin... very affordable, wood burning fireplace (they supply the wood), all your kitchen needs, all the bedding, just bring food!!!!
It was more off the highway then we figured but well worth the extra time.
Looking out our cabin window was a sweet lake.... not big but I could see where in the summers this place must be a jumpin!
Because we were there on November 1st.... well, we were the only ones in the park, other then the park rangers.
We knew we were alone... we started letting our imagination go a little crazy! We kept hearing a tapping on the sides on the cabin.... I, of course, thought there was a biker gang out to kill us! It turned out to be a little bird... I guess it was asking for food! Hahahha
I'd love to go back to that cabin.... what a fun time!!!
