Pros: Clean restrooms and heated, showers are private, great views, clean sites.
Cons: Ticks, bear warnings, sites close to each other, office closes at 4PM (can't buy firewood).
The Bottom Line: It's a great camp site, but beware of the TICKS while hiking...great views during the hike though...wonderful water falls! BRING LOTS OF OFF!

We're newbie campers, Stokes is the second park we've ever camped at this was an amazing experience! The park is huge, the campsite itself was a little small, but we were a party of 5 and we were fine. The restrooms were CLEAN and HEATED! The showers were at another park (we had to drive out of the section onto the road and a bit farther down), but the showers were private, and pretty clean. (The drains were clogged though)
But over all, it was a great trip and we would definatly go back!
If you get there after 4PM...make sure you BRING YOUR OWN FIRE WOOD! The bags of fire wood (great dry wood about 10 or so pcs for $6. with a starter in it) are sold only in the office.
Beware of bears...these warnings are ALL OVER the park...make sure you tie up your trash...we didn't see any though (thank goodness!) and if you go hiking on their trails, BE VERY WELL COATED W/ TICK REPLELLANT! We went hiking and we came back covered with ticks! Please be careful!
The sites were fairly close to one another, you can hear your neighbors if they're loud. Ask for the most secluded.
