Bandelier proved to be a wonderful experience for my wife and I. We managed to 'rough it' through a long weekend (Friday - Monday) in a dome tent, and loved every minute of it. The park is wonderful, the beauty & splendor of Frijoles canyon breathtaking, and the personnel inviting.
A must is to travel into Santa Fe on one day of your visit and peruse through acres of Flea Market. Jewelry, antiques, clothing, etc. are available at extremely reasonable rates.
The ruins are spectacular, combining a natural ambiance that can come only from ancient peoples, with the beauty and splendor of the Frijoles Canyon.
We look forward to returning one day with our two boys. It would really be nice if they incorporated full hookups to the park one day.
