Tennesseean, and I, too, hate to see the closings. We have some here in West Tennessee also. Don Sundquist has made many people unhappy - and has really disappointed fellow Republicans. Good review!

I always enjoyed going to Panther Creek while I was a student at Carson-Newman College in the early 1990s. My friends and I would regularly go there for hikes, picnics, celebrate birthdays and/or just get away from campus for a while. I truly hate to hear that it is closed and being held hostage (and the ransom being a state income tax). It's not fair to the public that Panther Creek be closed.

Thanks for your review. Your reviews are always well written, very informative and very helpful.

Be God's,
Jay

is also closing, Big Ridge State Park in Andersonville, Tn...I and others believe it is a way for the Governor to try and get the state income tax passed by voters.

I know how you feel...We lose alot of historical buildings where I live, and its heart breaking. Or kind of like when we lost the local drive-in movie theater. Nostalgia and memories are more important than money. Keep the Faith!
