Abilene State Park, just outside of Buffalo Gap Texas, provided a peaceful retreat for my family and I.
RV spaces are nestled within numerous groves of large shade trees. Our space had only water & electricity, but I believe they offer full hookups elsewhere in the park (check with park to make sure). When we were there, (Early May) the swimming pool was not yet opened, but looked to be a great place for the kids and I to 'beat the heat'.
The nearby town of Buffalo Gap provided an interesting assortment of antique shopping, while the neighboring city of Abilene proved nice for retail shopping. My wife, kids & I all enjoyed the park and give a big thumbs up to the staff & camp host for being courteous & helpful throughout our stay.
