About 3 weeks ago Walgreens and CVS had a whole page of 'It's like getting ir for FREE after extra bucks, and Jingle Ca$h, like getting purchase free good on next purchase. I spent approximately $10, and got $72 worth of goods, and I have still have $8 to spend in rewards. The only cost to me was the sales tax.
So how could I not buy the Philips In-ear headphones for $6.99 and get the $6.99 back to spend in the store. For free has been a wonderful day for me.
I purchased Sentry headphones awhile ago, and the foam just disintegrated on me, so those went into the garbage. They were lightweight, but the over the head style of headphones, which are so outdated. What I loved when I first saw the Philips headphones, is that they are ear-buds. They are so tiny that I can scrunch them in the palm of my hand. These will be perfect to take when we are flying domestic routes. British Airways provide them on my International flights to England each year.
First of all I don't have an iPod, but if I did, then these work with the iPod.
I wanted to try them out, so I went into a couple of videos that I have kept from youtube. I put the jack into my computer, and then unraveled the cord. The tiny ear-buds are metal on the back, and have a soft rubber coating on the front. They have L and R on them, so I knew where to put them.
The sound from the youtube videos were okay, but I couldn't really test them with that. So I then went to one of our portable C.D. players. I plugged the jack in and switched on. The sound was excellent. I could hear it coming into both ears, and when I turned the sound up, it was way too loud for me, but probably great for teenagers.
I figured that these would be a great gift for tweens, teenagers, and people who love to travel. They are really comfortable, and after awhile I didn't even know that I had them in my ears. They are tiny but work just as well as the big guys. I figured that my 12 year old grand-daughter would love them.

Philips have made in-ear headphones that are so comfortable that you forget you have them in. They have created an inexpensive set of ear-buds, that set them apart from generic brands, that you would expect to pay $6.99 for. These are a product that will be used often and I know that I will get good use out of them. I have been using them on a regular basis since purchasing them.
I know I was fortunate to get them for free, but I would have no hesitation in buying them as gifts, and paying retail for them.
