Cons:Should I expect volume control at the prices these sell for on-line?
The Bottom Line: These are basic earbuds of good value comparing price and sound.
In my Christmas stocking this year I didn't find a lump of coal. Instead I found a few fun items, a sweet treat and these Philips iPod Earbuds model # she2640.
My wife knew I wanted a new pair for my iPod that I listen to and watch movies on every night before going to sleep. It's the wear of my falling asleep with these earbuds in my bed that takes its toll on every set I have owned.
The Philips iPod Earbuds she2640 are basic being 40" long from3.5mm stereo plug to earbud. It's 14" from non-adjustable yoke to plug.

I don't have any idea as to what all that means but I do know that these have a good look and, more important, sound good too.
I can hear sounds I know I should hear from when my ears were better than they are now. Both the high notes and the deep bass are clear sounding. These may not be high quality or priced earbuds but they are , I believe, of good value.
I don't hear any background noise or static. All is clean and clear and that's what it is all about. The buds stay in my ears well without bothering them and the wires are flexible and soft to the hands. I don't like wires that are stiff feeling and won't lose their shape.
I can recommend these lower priced Philip's iPod Earbuds for the non-discerning music lover. They are basic, priced low and give good enough sound.
