Pros: Build Quality, Powerful, Seamless transmission, awesome body style for a 4 door car, smooth lines
Cons: tight headroom in the rear, no massage or cooling seat option
The Bottom Line: The 2006 CLS 500 is well worth your time and money. People will gauk at the car.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS500 is the best car on the road aside from the new 2007 S-Class, and the SL500, and CL 500.
The CLS boasts a 5.0 V-8 with 302 hp. This car leaps forward like a rocket when you stomp on the pedal, the acceleration is awesome. The transmission shifts very smoothly, with no effort.
The build quality is far better than any Japanese competitors. The interior looks like it was put together by hand. Every surface is leather or wood, built to the highest standards.
This car comes with a last forever quotient, as well as an awesome engine. I would recommend this car to anybody that appreciates luxury, and a reliable luxury car. There isn't much not to like about this car. $78,900 and well worth it.
I was reading in the USA Today, they had a special article on the consumer reports on Japanese cars, it said and I quote "The build quality of many if not all Japanese car makers has plateaued." Infiniti reported on the QX56, that an astonishing 67% of people returned to the dealership with MAJOR problems. Also, the consumer reports bureau reported that reliability on Buicks is at an all time high, there cars have come a long long way.
