Pros: Great Performance, low price, best low-cost AGP solution
Cons: large power-draw, underpowered for new games
The Bottom Line: If you have an AGP slot, and don't want to spend north of $150, this is the best card you can get

| norsoulnet's Full Review: ATI All-In-Wonder® 9800 PRO, (128 MB) AGP Vid... |
I bought this card early 2003 for around $200-$300. I actually bought the 64mb version because it was a faster card in all aspects (uses faster RAM so it was faster in all benchmarks than the 128mb version) while being considerably cheaper.
Performance:
Absolutely stellar when I used it, played EVERY game out. Now, it plays ALMOST every game out except the blistering hot ones (such as Oblivion and FEAR). It will actually play FEAR but you will have to set everything to minimum to make it playable. Same goes for Oblivion. This card will blast through Half Life 2, Doom 3, and Far Cry. I played World of Warcraft on this card at 1600x1200 with graphic settings almost maxed out and got around 20 fps outdoors and 4-6 fps in Orgrimmar (2-3 in Ironforge).
40-man raids such as MC and BWL as well as mass PVP like in AV are near-impossible (unless you bump the resolution ALL the way down and turn every bell and whistle off).
Reliability:
Card is over 3 years old and in my brother's computer running like a champ, even though his computer has terrible heat dissipation.
Ease of Install:
This was one of the first cards to use a dedicated power connection, but if you know how to install one of these bad boys the extra power cord should not be a problem for you. Just be aware of that requirement if your system is loaded.
Make SURE you have an AGP slot before buying this card.
