Syntax's Full Review: ATI RADEON® 9800 Pro, (128 MB) AGP Video Card
I purchased this card for use inside a customer’s computer. I paired it up with an Asus A7N8X Deluxe Board, a Serial ATA 10k RPM Raptor hard drive, 1gig of Corsair 400mhz memory, and a AMD XP 3200 CPU.
I benchmarked this system, and got some amazing results, during the 3D gaming benchmarks I was blown away by the graphics, and how smooth they were rendered. I used the 3DMark2001 benchmark, and received a score of over 14500 points.
They whole key to this card is having the correct drivers installed. It is very important that both the ATI drivers and the ATI control panel both be installed. I also got a few extra points when I installed the correct monitor driver.
Ranked against other machines with competing cards this machine blew them away. The only machines out performing this one were over clocked P4's with the same video card.
I would recommend this video card to anyone looking for great performance on video games.
