Pros: Setup is easy and instructions are clear.
Cons: Capture and/or recording is inconsistent and often frustrating; Manufacturer help is poor.
The Bottom Line: Do not buy if you want consistent good performance with quick and easy help from manufacturers.

| judgepb's Full Review: A D S Instant DVD 2.0 (USBAV702) Video Capture |
I purchased this program in order to transfer home videotapes to VCD's (Not DVD). The advertising indicated a fast and simple way to convert analog video to discs playable on DVD players. When the package arrived, It contained the hardware and three programs: Capwiz which captures the videos, MyDVD which records them, and Ulead VideoStudio 6 which can edit them and record the edited version. The setup is extremely easy and the documentation is clear. Unfortunately, in my case, the setup was one of the few successes I had in running the program.
I found that MyDVD, which can either capture and record directly, or record a tape captured by Capwiz, only made one successful VCD for me. The rest of the time the program either did not capture or did not record for numerous reasons presented in messages, such as "Could not complete the last command because this is not a valid MPEG file.(DVDErr.,20400>" A request for an explanation of this message from MyDVD's help site at MyDVD.com went unanswered. Suffice it to say that I tried and tried to make the program live up to the advertising but
I finally gave up in frustration. Help from AdsTech was no better with several requests going unanswered.
