This software really has a lot to offer and includes many features including:

I was a previous Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.0 user and experienced some problems with their software. It often turned my Blank CDR's into "coasters". It also did not recognize the CD Burner I was trying to use. An update they posted later fixed this.


New Features:
The new version 5.0 is great and adds many digital video features not before seen in CD Burning software. It allows you to save photos and videos on CD to protect them for generations to come. The Video Impression software allows you to edit your video clips, add text and apply transitions to enhance your videos. You can even create VideoCDs that can be played in most DVD players. You can take all your digital photos and turn them into a multimedia slide show.

Installation:
The software installed easily without issue. Upon installation I tried creating a Compilation CD from a group of MP3's and it went without error. The software automatically found my CD drive and knew which settings to use for it automatically. None of the problems I had with version 4.0 were apparent.
It is rather pricey at $99 dollars but Roxio has a rebate coupon you can download off their website that will give you $20 back. $79 for all these features is a great bargain. If you have a CD Burner this is the one and only program you will need!

Interface:
The user interface is very friendly. Regardless if you are new to CD creation or are an old pro, this is the program for you. Everything is laid out in a very user friendly form with very detailed product menu's for you to choose from. The software even has the ability to automatically detect when a blank CDR has been placed in your burner and it will launch the software automatically.

Conclusion:
I used this program with my Yamaha 16X burner on my Dell Pentium 4 model 8100. It typically took about 4 minutes to burn a 70 minute audio cd. I also have not experienced the bad cd creation problem that I had with Version 4.0. All the CD's I create now are good ones.
