Pros: It was 99 bucks and the Sales guy left me alone after I bought it.
Cons: I'm like, WHEN DOES IT END?!!!.... I JUST UP-GRADED!!!
The Bottom Line: Oh no...Okay this sucks because it's like a stripped down version of Photoshop. People say that it's easier to learn, but Photoshop knowledge has become pretty basic don't you think?

| magicmike's Full Review: Adobe Photoshop® Elements 2.0 Full Version fo... |
I have yet to see a graphics program I can call my "all in one." All these companies: Macromedia, Apple, Adobe, Corel, Avid, etc... The problem is that essentially language and interpretation. It's like, "Elements" Okay, well when I think elements, I think earth,/wind/fire/water. So then on the flip side, you have Apple, who's making "Web Objects" and Macromedia has one and bla,bla...
So I'm at Comp USA looking at Macromedia products to learn more about Vectorworks, and the sales guy just starts clucking on me out of nowhere. So he's just blabbing away and an Adobe box ended up in my hand and out of frustration I bought elements. He sold me on the fact that is was 99 bucks, and I kind of trust the Adobe product I had.(Photoshop)
There's a lot of techies out there, but I gotta be honest. I know more about software and technical terms than I should know. I'm an artist, I have to be creative, not knowledgeable.
So I get home only to find out that this isn't an addition to Photoshop at all, It's like a bogus cut, paste and resize program with weak little imaging powers equivalent to that of my grandmother setting the VCR. There were no elements to Photoshop. I thought it was gonna have like stock art made more Photoshop or something.
In conclusion, I WISH I KNEW WHAT THE HELL THE PRODUCTS ARE, AND WHAT THEIR NAMES MEAN.
(If you ask me, It's just a game the software companies play. There's gotta be a right set of tools out there. I'm sorry Adobe didn't do it for me. They have a product called Photoshop that I've use for years and it's EXACTLY what it is, it's a Photoshop, self explanatory. But then it gets hazy.
I'm an artist/photographer (whatever, I don't like labels) since I was 10 years old. I used Photoshop 1.0 and have taken it all the way. 3rd party plugs are great add -ons. I recommend sticking to the real thing. Forget Premiere and Indesign, Go live and Illustrator. I mean what the hell does any of that mean?!!! And you might say something like:"Well that stuffs for the web" Or "Those products are for web design." Know what I say to that? I say "What the hell do you think Photoshop is for?! Art Galleries?!!"
P.S.
And on Adobe's website it say's: "Once again Adobe has produced another must-have upgrade with Photoshop CS" And I'm like, WHEN DOES IT END?!!! I JUST UP-GRADED!!!!!
