Pros: Quiet, unobtrusive, highly effective in killing germs. An absolute must for pet owners!
Cons: The initial cost was quite a setback ($900 for both units including warranty).
The Bottom Line: If you have pets or allergies or just enjoy the a clean smelling home, you should buy this product.

I would have never considered buying this purifier if it were not for my fiancee who had developed an allergy to our four rabbits. They have full run of the apartment and the central air is always full of rabbit hair and other irritants.
We bought two purifiers which came with the small bathroom purifier. We left the apartment and a few hours later came home to an apartment that smelled clean and fresh! I was absolutely amazed because it usually has all kinds of smells in the apartment. I had spent quite a lot of money on other purifiers, air fresheners, etc. but these UV air purifiers is the solution to a home with pets!
The best part about the purifiers is the easy setup and use. You just plug it in and enjoy the clean air. According to instructions, you are supposed to stand it one foot from the wall or any other large objects. Also, instructions recommend that you do not look too long at the vents because of the UV light nor should you have it 1 ft. near you for more than 30 min. so you should take these things into consideration. It is meant for the floor but I suppose you can put it on a table if you want. I also like the fact that they are completely silent because we have one right in the bedroom.
I know a few people complained about the "ozone smell" but honestly, I like it. It is a constant reminder that the purifier is working and that it is killing all the bacteria and dirty pollutants in the air. You are supposed to clean the collection grids every other week but I check it weekly because of the pets. Also, if you read the instructions, it is an integral part of the cleaning process.
We paid an extra $44 for each unit for the 10 year warranty. According to the salesperson, whenever the unit needs maintenance or even if we knock into it or our rabbit eats up the power cord, we can bring the unit back and get a brand new one! I think it is worth the extra few dollars because they don't fix the unit, they give you a brand new unit, no questions asked! Now that is a great deal. Also according to the booklet, you pay more upfront because you end up saving at least $150 in utility bills and almost $300 worth of replacement filters in the first year. The only thing you need to replace is the UV bulb which loses 40% of its effectiveness after approximately 1 year. It's a great deal if you add up all the extra costs.
