Like you I had seen the commercials for the Ionic Breeze and thought "yeah, right". I work on a cruise ship and thus I have to take over the cabin from the departing person. When I first moved in I noticed a very strong smell of cigarettes and B.O. from my predecessor. Oh well ship life. After working on several ships over the years you just get used to these types of things. One night after having been onboard for a few weeks I was in a conversation with my colleagues about the smell in my cabin. It was awful to the point that I was embarrassed to have the Cabin Stewardess come in and clean on most days. But anyway when I told my colleagues of this the Hotel Director told me that his wife bought him an Ionic Breeze and his odors went away. Of course I did not initially believe him but as time went on I became more frustrated with the smells in my cabin. So, I finally loosened the purse strings and purchased the Ionic Breeze GP.
After having it run a mere two hours in my cabin I could tell the difference. The smells were gone replaced by the pleasant scent of the ozone (at least it is pleasant to me). I have been devoted to it ever since. When I purchased my Ionic Breeze it came with a free smaller one to be used in the bathroom. My cabin is not huge as it is so for me to have the second one was of no use to me really. So, I gave it to a friend who placed it in her cabin and that smaller one works great too.
If you can afford it I would highly recommend purchasing this unit. The benefits of having it are too many for me to go over here. But I can tell you that the air in my environment smells 100 times better. I am able to actually sleep better at night as well.
