I purchaced this CD player in August of 2004 for 54.99. I put some Rayovac batteries in it when I got it and have used it every day since I got it. Up to this day January 3rd, 2005 the battery indicator shows the battery as full. That is what really shocked me, most don't last long at all. Another great thing about it is the sound quality. It sounds really good with any kind of music. It also plays CD-RW discs which I really good.
