Pros: great sound! including mp3's. good looking, plenty of adjustments

have always had panasonic and pioneer. heard great things about alpine, gave them a shot with the new model 9847, had 2 units in a row that shut down in colder temps. crutchfield had same issue when i brought it to their attention. exchanged for model 9830, great unit! no complaints, til less than six months later, the front face freezes up completely and unit shuts down when pushing encoder. when it works, it works great...
