jimbo192's Full Review: Altec Lansing VS4121 2 Speakers
I'm in my forties and I love classic rock from AC/DC to Zeppelin. I've had some Altec's before these and lost those in a house fire. So I was ready to go speaker shopping again after a few months of listening to the one tiny speaker that's in my Mac G4 which drove me nuts. Did my research on the internet and came across these. I liked the rebates that were available and that caught my attention, but at this price, how would they sound. I went to my local CompUSA . They had all the speakers they sell on display and for shoppers to test and listen to. But these weren't on display to test. So I compared the displayed samples and was ready to purchase a more expensive set of speakers from a different company. I was heading to the cashier when I decided to go back and grab these instead - why? Price and the fact that I had Altec's in the past that sounded great. So I purchased them, went home, set them up (installation took about 2 minutes) WHOA! I couldn't believe the sound that was coming from these - awesome. Trust me on this one. I'm also a musician who plays drums and John Bonham from Zeppelin is my idol. Right now I've got Zeppelin cranked and these speakers sound unbelievable for the price. If you like a booming bass, the woofer handles that with ease, and the bass can be adjusted. Happy Holidays and if you get these speakers, I believe you'll agree with me.
