I don't really mind any of the tracks besides the ABC song. If you didn't like the Waitresses' claim to fame, I can assure you most of the rest of their catalog is even more boring.
Even though I like "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell, I prefer the original, an obscure 1964 recording by Gloria Jones. The Jones rendition puts the ache in heartache. If you've never heard it, I hope you get the chance. As always, thanks for sharing!

was alternative? Wow, I must've really been out of it...
Brings back memories, that one -- some good (Go-gos) some mediocre (Joe Jackson) some bad (Buggles). But memories all; and I'd certainly trade a lot of what's out there today to have 'em back.
It's heck gettin' deaf, errr, old.
