Pros: rich blend of light and musky notes; classy
Cons: slightly expensive
The Bottom Line: Givenchy's Amarige presents a rich bouquet of scents, but without a floral note. I recommend it as a versatile scent for the busy woman.

| msmarques's Full Review: Amarige by Givenchy for Women |
I used to experiment with many different scents. At that time, I didn't have any particular favourite. My husband used a Givenchy after-shave and suggested I check out the Givenchy perfume line. I liked the men's line (on him) and followed his advice.
Some of the Givenchy perfumes were not to my taste. Immediately, however, I fell in love with Amarige. I enjoyed the complexity of both the light and musky notes, with a bit of spice blended in. It's a classy modern scent, without being brash or too heady.
For many years this was the only scent I would wear. I've now branched out and have a couple of other scents that I use frequently, but I always return to Amarige.
I recommend Amarige as a gift for:
* a woman who like Givenchy after-shave (on a man)
* a woman who prefers non-floral perfumes
* a modern classy woman who needs a versatile scent
Note that there are many gift combinations for Amarige, either by itself or with other Givenchy scents. If you know that she already likes Amarige, you might want to consider a set with the scent in different forms (eau de toilette, body lotion, etc). If she doesn't wear this scent... or you don't know what scent she prefers, you may want to consider a gift box with a variety of Givenchy scents.
