| randilyn's Full Review: Angel1.7oz Eau De Perfume Spray by Thierry Mugler ... |
Angel by Thierry Mugler is the most incredible perfume I have ever purchased. The first reason is the fragrance itself: it is unique, exotic, and very romantic. It is an unbelievable blend of chocolate, honey, and caramel essenses blended with notes of vanilla, patchouli, and sandalwood. Angel started the revolution of "food-type" fragrances that dominate the scented market today.
Don't be turned off by the classification of Angel as a food-type fragrance; you won't go around smelling like dessert while wearing Angel! The patchouli and sandalwood base notes really round out the food notes to make you smell sultry and sexy. Some people also associate patchouli with the flower children of the '60s. But again... not to worry! All of these essenses work very well together, with no one essence overpowering the next.
The second reason I love Angel is its staying power. Other perfumes have frustrated me because they seem to vanish from my skin after a short time. Not Angel. After a long, hard day at work, I sniff my wrist and Angel is still there, going strong. There is no need to reapply Angel throughout the day. This stuff stays with you! Those who like their fragrances subtle, however, probably will not enjoy Angel. It may be too overpowering for those with fragrance sensitivities.
And that brings me to the one downside to Angel, it's price. Very expensive.... but if you read my last paragraph, the staying power of Angel makes it well worth the price.
Angel comes in an ultra-cool odd star-shaped bottle. The container is unusual in that it doesn't stand upright; it actually rests on its back. The bottle is clear, and you can see the pale blue-tinted fragrance contained inside. This particular bottle is not refillable. So this bottle takes a little extra space on your vanity... big deal! Angel is worth it.
Angel can be hard to find - I've never seen Angel in a department store. I found my Angel at the local Sephora. A 25 ml (0.8 fl oz) bottle was $55.00. A larger size (1.7 oz)is available for $66.99 on perfumania.com. Coordinating lotions and shower gels are also available for Angel. Seek out Angel and try it, you will be very impressed.
