| kahwest's Full Review: Apacer Audio Steno BP300 (128 MB) MP3 Player |
I bought this player after owning the Creative Labs Muvo 128 MB. This player is cheap, and has many more features than my basic muvo. I have had some problems with it...it tends to freeze, the headphones it comes with are HORRIBLE, and it is shaped funny. The last comment is less aesthetic than it is functional...USB ports are often in crowded space, so a near cylindrical player often won't fit. They give you a USB extension cord, but who wants to carry that thing around as well?
All in all, I am happy with the player. It looks and feels cheap, but I have dropped mine about a 1000 times (froze before I ever dropped it, so I know that wasn't my fault) and it still works fine. The equalizer settings help to bring the best sound out of different genres of music, and the LCD can display a great deal of information, considering its size (The basic muvo didn't even have an LCD screen).
If you are looking for a cheap player, and don't carry it in your pocket (it can be the source of a lot of jokes) this is a good option.
