Pros: It's good looking, for a very large DOORSTOP.
Cons: No one will repair it, because APEX is such a pain to deal with.
I bought my APEX gb5108 in August 2003, from K's Merchandise, who is now out of business. About 1 year after purchase, all I could get was a blue screen with swirling diagonal lines. At that time there was a local repair shop who still handled the APEX product. It took them and myself hours of calls and internet searching just to get a download of the service manual. Now, (7/2007)it's nothing but a black screen AND no one will repair it. Every service tech. in the area refuses to work on APEX.
When one calls customer service (866.427.3946)they can only give you the same info. as is on the web site, & apologize.
I'm retired, living on a fixed income & this was my big retirement gift to myself. Ha Ha some joke on me.....guess I'll read books & knit.
