| weber1's Full Review: Apex Digital GT2015 20 inch TV |
When our beloved Magnavox finally gave up the ghost after 10 years of use, we were in the market for a new TV and were looking for one that included a DVD player. As this was going to be a secondary unit for our home, we wanted to find a good TV without spending a lot of money. Then we discovered APEX, and were very impressed.
We've had this TV for about a year, and have been extremely happy with it. It has a great picture, with bright colors and no flickering. A great feature is it's flat screen, which keeps the picture crisp from any angle. It has incredible sound, with a speaker on each side of the DVD near the bottom. It also has a sleep timer.
Another feature which we love is the parental controls. You have the option of "blocking" (you see a blue screen)any program with objectionable content, as determined by you. You use the TV ratings system to determine what level of viewing is acceptable. These controls can then be accessed with a 4 number password that you can set. You can even "lock" the TV so that it won't turn on unless the password is entered. The controls even work on DVD's.
It includes a very functional remote, with the DVD controls accessible via a slide-out panel which can be closed when not in use. The DVD is easy to use and works great.
This unit comes ready to use - just plug it in and turn it on, and enjoy your favorite program!
