| j_freak48's Full Review: Apple iBook G4 14.1 in. (M9165LL/A) Mac Notebook |
The iBook is a beautiful, sleek laptop that is ideal for home users and students. Most pro users won't want the iBook's relatively low power, but it is more than capable enough to handle word processing, emails, surfing the Net, playing demanding games, chatting, and even light video editing and DVD authoring. It contains a lot of productivity software, a bonus that Apple includes with most of it's computers. You can also upgrade the iBook with Bluetooth, 802.11g wireless (what Apple calls Airport Extreme), and RAM (over 1 GB, although Apple claims you can only maximize it to 640 megabytes). Weighing in at 4.9 pounds, the iBook isn't exactly light but it is small enough to fit in backpacks and carry around without breaking your shoulder.
