c i have an ibook g3...and it broke 4 times...most stuff didn't work on it (games , microsoft words, bascially windows apps), i need to get a new computer and i don't know about this ibook , cheap yes, but i don't know i need a reliable computer.

Its a Macintosh, of course you need to run Macintosh software. You can run Windows softare through virtual PC, but that is slow and defeats the purpose.

I'm trying to decide on either the ibook g4 or the Imac g5. As my 2nd generation tangerine imac 333 mhz is on it's last legs, I've decided to buy the ibook you recommended and then go for the Imac g5 to work on more demanding projects from home. Yay!
