Pros: Everything...looks, speed, power is in the name, only 1.1" thin, widescreen display!
Cons: Nothing really...gets a little warm, but not uncomfortable like some say. Battery life is tolerable.
The Bottom Line: Compared to its 12-inch and 17-inch siblings, the 15-inch PowerBook G4 shares features from each to form an amazing notebook you will love!

| dhgolfman224's Full Review: Apple PowerBook G4 15.2 in. (M8980LL/A) Mac Notebo... |
The Apple PowerBook G4 not a computer for anyone, if you are looking for a great value, get an iBook G4! However, if you are a power user like myself get the PowerBook G4 15-inch. The fit and finish is amazing and all the "bugs" have been worked out. I am not going to ramble on about the specs of the machine because you can go to www.apple.com/powerbook to see for yourself what an amazing piece of technology you can get for around $2000- not cheap, but hey it's Apple and you are getting the best of the best! I recommend getting AppleCare because the 90-day phone in warranty will be well used due to the fact that tech support is so friendly and easy to get a hold of! But, most the time you can work out your own problems as they arise due to the simplicity of Mac OS X. My model is the 1GHz Combo Drive, with 512 MB RAMM and 80 GB Hard Drive. This notebook will last me at least 6 years with the care I have always given my Macs (have my original Mac from 1994 and is still going strong!) Anyhow, don't waste your money on the SuperDrive if you already have a computer with one, as you can transfer files such as movies/DVD files through an iPod or FireWire cable "computer-to-computer" capability. But, if you are in need of the SuperDrive, go for it. Another tip... the 1.25 GHz Processor is not worth the upgrade as Macworld and I agree, the performance is not 25% faster...only about 10% faster, and not worth the cost. The backlit keyboard is cool, but I have a feeling it would be a pain to fix (had experience with it and the display pretty much over-lights the "white" key lighting anyway!!)
Hey, just plunk down $2000 and have a notebook that will satisfy your power needs for now and in the future! Enjoy your PowerBook!
