Me and my Blue & White G3 (B & W) have spent a wonderful year together. I first met her at MacWorld '99. There she was on the stage with proud papa Jobs touting her style,power and flexibility. It was very exciting and I had to have one! After selling my reliable but dowdy Beige G3 on E-Bay; for $1400 I might add. I ordered my new B & W baby from Outpost.com.It was the start of something Beautiful! I love my B & W baby because of her Style, Power and Flexibility.
This computer is Gorgeous. The box it came is a work of art,and it only gets better as you remove its wrappings. The box is stored carefully in the garage -it's too beautiful for the trash man.Getting my baby and her matching monitor set-up was a 5-minute job, the most difficult job was getting Mediaone to change the address of connection.
This computer is powerful. She has taken everything I've thrown at her. I can do windoze and Mac on my 2 different screens,at the same time. I can surf the web with my cable modem,while watching cable tv on the other screen. I can enjoy a DVD, with incredible audio and video. My latest challenge for her is making movies. I just hook up my camcorder to her firewire port and I'm the director,I'll see you at Sundance!
This computer is flexible. If there is a downside to this computer it is getting your old toys to work with it. But my baby gets an A in works and plays well with others. She has every possible slot filled. I have a SCSI card,a 2nd video card (for 2 monitors), a TV tuner, and a GeeThree serial port.With these additions my old CD burner,scanner,printer, Zip, and PalmIII all continue to work.
I have not been loyal to computers,usually they're traded in after a year, but this girl and I may be together for two.
