laurenearly's Full Review: Apple iPod 3rd Generation White (10 GB) MP3 Player
Just last christmas I was enthusiastic as I unwrapped my iRiver 128MB mp3 player, which, don't get me wrong, was an amazing gift for me. So, me being the nosey person I am, after thanking everone so much, ran straight to the computer to find out how much the mp3 player costs, and how far off the price was from my unrealistic dream, dare I say it, an iPod, notice how it just rolls off your tounge. The iRiver was great, but 25 songs just wasn't cutting it for $120. So lil' old lucky me just happened to have a birthday 6 days before christmas, and just as a cowinkedink, I got like 5 BestBuy giftcards from the 2 holidays, AND they had just discontinued the 10 GIG iPod and lowered it's price by $50, and on top of all of that, all the store had left were the open box 10 gig iPods that are still in great condition left for cheaper, and last but not least, I still had the receipt for the $120 iRiver and permission to return it.
So I hunted down one of the last 10 gig ipods in BestBuy, yup, there it was, "THE HOLY KEEPER OF THE SONG." lol. Just Sitting there infront of me, waiting for me to cherish it over the next years, but there was one problem. A single, small scratch on the screen almost held me back, from, an IPOD. (not to mention that was the last day untill I couldn't return the iRiver)After getting some sense talked into me by my brother, and after only paying $20, IT WAS MINE.
When I got home I spent hours trying to get the iTunes program up and running, and finally, my iPod was filled with almost every song I owned (which didn't make a dent on all of the memoery I have on that thing). I turned the iPod on frantically, and it was at that one point of time when I heard the most amazing quality, and note of music I have ever heard in my life.
After that first time, using iTunes becomes simple. I learned the hard way not to take an iPod out unless you have a case for it, it scratches up so easily. My two original reasons not to get an iPod was, one, IT IS EXPENSIVE, but I got around that part, and I'm sure almost anyone can. Two, will it spoil me, or will I look spoiled, hey, you know, I deserve it, and, again I'm sure you deserve it too. Three, it looks so big in the pictures, what if I can't fit it in my pocket, see it personaly, THE THING IS TINY! And, finally, four. What if I never use it, that would be souch a waste, boy, did I proove myself wrong.
Anyway, in the long run, GO WITH THE IPOD, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
