I am a Windows user since Windows 3.1 and currently use Windows XP Pro/Home versions. So I was not sure how well the iPod Mini would work with Windows.
After I researched, read reviews and talked to people who own the original iPod. I ran out to the store to buy my new iPod Mini. The iPod Mini was released for purchase on Feb. 20th at 6PM (I was there, got the Blue one!!!).
Since the two and a half days I have owned the iPod Mini, it has surpassed every expectation I had for it. The Mini comes with all cable connections for both the Mac and Windows, ear buds, a clip to carry the iPod Mini on your belt or pants pocket etc. and the iTunes software for both the Mac and Windows.
I charged the iPod Mini, connected it to my laptop using the USB 2.0 cable that came with the Mini and installed the software. The software is incredibly easy to use and when transferring about 1GB of music it took less then a couple of minutes, wow.
The sound is amazing through the ear buds and in my car stereo using a Sony cassette adapter in my car's cassette deck. The ease of use is truly unbelievable, the features in the iPod Mini are probably more than I might need, but it is great to know if I do they are already there.
In summary, anything you may have heard about the original iPod as far as negative or other wish list items you can bet Apple has resolved every one of them with the new iPod Mini. It is unreal!
I will be giving iPod Minis as gifts to all the music lovers I know for sure.
