If you can only take one vacation in your life, take your lover on a Holland America cruise to the caribbean in the winter. The weather is lovely, usually very warm but not real hot, the seas are calm and the islands are beautiful and loads of fun.

On board ship you can eat like royalty 23 hours a day, go to nice little bar/clubs, go to the movies, see a show, get lucky in the casino (or your stateroom if you are so inclined) or, just sit out on deck and enjoy the ride.

The cruises can range in price all over the map but, I suggest you get an outboard stateroom and, it is worth the money to get at least a mid size one.

Go with several couples if you can. You don't have to do everything together but usually the women like to shop while the men play golf or scuba or girl watch on the beach (they think we don't know).

Anyway, it is great and VERY romantic at sea at night.
