I bought this Archos Jukebox two years ago and have been impressed with it. I have stored music and photos with ease. It works exactly like an external hard drive. Just click and drag! Movies are a little more difficult but if you have a little bit of time you can easily record straight off a tv, dvd player or vcr. I didn't take the time to convert any downloaded movies to the correct format, only playable on the player, but was able to play one downloaded movie in the correct format. You really need the ac adapter or a car adapter to run more than one movie because of the battery life. I have used it for various activities such as running and snowboarding with no problems. I bought the 3.3mp camera for it also and took great photos and not bad movies with sound. The biggest downfall is the battery life and the fact it is an external battery. When it was new I guess I got about 6 hours life playing mp3's and 2+ hours for movies. I still have the same battery in from when I bought it and its time to put in a new one. Im not sure but I would guess if I took it apart (its out of warranty anyway) I could change it out myself. I have totally run out of hard drive space now with almost 40gb (9000 songs) of music and had to delete the movies I had on there. Overall worth the movie if you are after a multimedia player. I paid over $600 for mine when they first came out so the price has come down a lot.
