emptypockets50's Full Review: Audiovox SIRPNP1 SIRIUS Radio Receiver
I have a Kenwood head unit with Sirius in my car but you can't drive forever and sitting in your driveway a long time looks a little? Go to a store and look at the Audiovox unit and you might opt for the tuner, car and home kit if you don't mind a little bulk. I purchased the Audiovox home unit and plugged it into surround "wow"! I have loved music since the sixties Woodstock and all. If you decide to go with satellite radio you may never buy a cd again. So many channels that it will satisfy even the most diverse music lovers like myself.
Plan on mounting the antenna on your roof unless you live in a greenhouse then mount it on the ceiling.
The overhang on most houses will kill the signal.
DANGER wanting and listening to it loud WILL hurt your hearing plus make your neighbors hate or envy you. It's your choice..ha.
Most DJ's keep their chatter to the minimum but you will run into some under the influence that will make you want to... I purchased the home kit and the tuner on special at Circuit City but not at the same time. One then the other a few days apart. You also may want the extended warranty I did, it runs a little hot and if it fails after 30 days then.
Regardless of the few bucks I saved I say go for it and sit back with remote in hand and enjoy. I could go on about the specs but you can read for yourself.
