The Bottom Line: Stay away from it. Works good and looks decent, but hides low quality junk inside.

| adam728's Full Review: Autotek Super Sport SS-600.4 Car Amp |
My friend purchased a pair of Cerwinn-Vega 10's and needed an amp to power them. After mucho searching on the web people convinced me that Autotek made a quality product, so I had him order this amp.
After installing and setting it up for him we were both very pleased with it's performance. The front channels were bridged to run one 4 ohm sub, and the rears did the other. Power output seemed to be around the 300 x 2 rms it claimed for this configuration. The amp and subs impressed many, and did so for months to come.
One day the amp decided to let out a huge "click" and stop working all-together. Inspecting the insides I found one burned cap on the circuit to light the protection light. Replacing this only made the protection light work again. When turned one it made the subs thump horridly at about 1 hz, regardless of if there even was an input signal. I took the amp to my friends dad, who is an electriton and knows a lot about amplifiers and audio equipment from all his toys and 30+ years in a band. One look at the guts of the amp and he said it was a pile of junk. All the internals are made with some of the cheapest foriegn parts made. I can't remember the comapanies name, but he said they supply the internals for companies like Pyramid, Audiovox, and other low line amps. The setup and everything was good, but they used CHEAP components, making this a CHEAP amp. Another guy in the neighborhood that works on amps looked at it and started laughing, asking "what do you want me to do with this cheap POS?"
I wouldn't recommend this amplifier to anyone. It did do it's job well, but poor quality inside means look elsewhere.
