Pros: Strong, long lasting smell
Cons: Strong, long lasting smell.... uck
I have been a long time user of Axe and essentially body sprays in general. I find that sometimes deodorant, just doesn't do it all of the time. And if you are a man, you know what I'm talking about. We just have some horrible body odors, that you just can't cover up by putting deodorant all over our bodies.
Axe has been forever a part of my life ever since going through basic training. We used to all spray this stuff on in such heavy doses, that our dormitory smelled like an Axe factory every time we got the opportunity to take a shower. I don't think that the smell ever went away, and when I got out of basic, I swear, I couldn't use the stuff for the longest time. But, it's been a while now, and I love it all over again.
Apollo is probably one of the few body sprays that doesn't really fit my style. While I find that I can match well with any of the other fragrances, this one just doesn't totally do it for me.
Apollo in general
Apollo is what happens when you throw cheap pornstar sex, and Disco together. It's a smell that is ripe for the 50's, 60's, and 70's, but more of an annoyance today. This is the perfect fragrance for those men that are looking to have a loud fragrance, that everyone anywhere they go can smell. As the smell doesn't blend whatsoever, it's more than noticeable by anyone that passes by unfortunately.

How the ladies like it???
My wife always tells me that I smell like cheap sex whenever I wear this. She says that if she wanted to make love to a grease monkey, she would go out and find one. This is generally followed by her telling me to go and take a shower. So, I try to only wear this if I am running low on something else and I know I can't get another can before some big event or something. It's my standby and by standby, I really mean, if I absolutely have to.
DO NOT, and I must repeat, DO NOT put this under your arms if you for some reason have cut yourself or anything of that nature. This goes for pretty much anywhere on your body, including places that you just got pierced or anything like that. This stuff BURNS like crazy, and even in areas that you just shaved, you can definitely feel the alcohol in it burning through your skin. Personally, I love the smell, but if you use too much, it can definitely cause you a little bit of pain. While the pain is generally very shortlived, I can only imagine how bad it would feel if you had some really bad sunburn... ouch!
As a deodorant
This is definitely not the product that you want as a deodorant. It doesn't really work very well, and the smell is somewhat short lived. If you want to use it for the temporary covering up of odors, Axe is more than adequate, however, a more long term solution, definitely will not work. You'll notice that the smell is virtually gone after about 8 hours or after a good workout. You can pretty much smell your body odor through the spray the entire time.
As a body spray
As a body spray, which is really the intended purpose of the product anyway, it's great. It covers up the mild smells that your body creates, outside of your armpits. I don't recommend spraying it down on your crotchal regions, however, if you don't have any baby powder available, this will do the trick to cover up any smells that you need to eliminate fairly quickly. However, it does burn on certain man parts, so be gentle with it's use.
While this fragrance isn't something that I like at all, there are quite a few people that do like the smell of cheap hookers and booze. So if that's your style, then you are definitely going to love how this fragrance works out for you.
Axe is one of the best body spray products out there. If you are planning on using it for a body spray that just compliments your deodorant, this is definitely the product for you. However, if you are thinking that you should use this in order to eliminate your body odor altogether, and use it under your arms, it's not going to work. There's no anti-perspirant in this product, so you are going to still sweat from your armpits, and you are still going to produce odor, which over time will eliminate the smell of the Axe product.
Orion has a smell that I find to be somewhat offensive to the nostrils and doesn't really represent what I'm going for when I go out in public. My wife hates the smell of it, and I really don't know why anyone would wear it as it is quite strong, and overpowering. It does go great with other deodorants, but that's more because this is far stronger smelling than any deodorant that I can think of, and kinda overpowers it.
