The best that Axe has to offer...

While the overall appeal of the Axe line of roll on deodorant products isn't the best in the world, I absolutely love the smell of the Tsunami product itself. It is about the same in ever way to the other Axe products, however, it does have a smell, that is truly wonderful.
I tried this product, as a free sample that I received through an Axe promotion that I had won. I got a free Axe T-Shirt, towel, shower shoes, and pretty much one of each of their deodorant products from the roll on deodorants to the body sprays.
I still do use this product to this day as a regular part of my deodorizing and man cleaning products.
Ingredients
Dipropylene Glycol, Tripropylene Glycol, water, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stearate, Fragrance, Peg-90 Diisolstearate, Sodium Chloride, Stearyl Alcohol, Ext D&C Violet #2, D&C Green #6.
How well does it glide on
Well, it terms of gliding on, generally I find that if I don't put it on immediately after a shower, or after a workout, I need to add water to make it go on smoothly. If I don't do this, it gets stuck on my arm and I have to give myself a deodorant burn trying to get it on adequately. So, adding hot water to it and shaking it off, I found allows it to glide on quite easily.
This one didn't clump as much as the Essence deodorant did, however, it did still have a somewhat clumping effect, although somewhat subdued. I was able to continue to use this product all the way to the end, unlike with Essence.
Tsunami Fragrance
This is an excellent smell altogether. While the roll on doesn't entirely smell like the body spray, it does smell good enough, to make a great blend if you use both products. The smell is extremely strong though, so you have to make sure that you use it sparingly or it can be somewhat overpowering.
I think that the fragrance is more like that of a cologne, however, it smells a lot like the fragrances that many men are familiar with by Gillette. I'd say it smells a lot like the Gillette shaving gel products which also have an excellent smell to them as well.
What the ladies think
My wife absolutely loves the smell of Tsunami. It doesn't smell like anything else that is out on the market, which gives you a more distinguished smell. She always uses the spray downstairs where we keep the animals, because it's such a strong smell, that it pretty much blocks any odor out there. So, obviously as a odor blocking fragrance, it easily does it's job. While you can't spray the deodorant, it's smell is pretty strong as well, so make sure you put on just enough.
As an anti-perspirant/deodorant
While the smell isn't the same as the body spray that I love so much, it still works great for it's intended purpose. It prevents myself from sweating pretty well, and does a great job eliminating odor. The only thing that you really smell is the smell of the deodorant itself and the body spray if you are wearing that along with it. So, for all intensive purposes, the product works great.
If you are hoping to use this as a deodorant, Tsunami is more the adequate for those purposes. The smell is quite strong, and lasts a whole lot longer than the other Axe products. It's also a very hip smelling product, that younger generations really love.
Final Thoughts
Tsunami, while clumping somewhat under your arms, it's nowhere near as bad as Essence in that arena. While it does have it's issues with minor clumping, it's not bad enough to keep one from using the product. I would just recommend keeping your underarms well trimmed at all times while using this product. However, I personally feel that should be done at all times anyway.
As for the fragrance, while different than the body spray, I felt it was still quite delightful and went well with the body spray. I think it's probably my favorite smelling deodorant out on the market, even though it does have the slight clumping issue.
It's performance for what it's supposed to do, speaks for itself. It does a much better job than most other products at keeping you dry and fresh smelling regardless of the activity performed.
