User Rating: Excellent
Ease of Use:
Pros:Very smooth gliding motion
Well-designed straps keep children secure
Attractive, gender-neutral look
Does not double as an all-purpose stroller
Front wheel does not rotate
The Bottom Line: Purchase if you want a high-quality stroller you'll use primarily for running on pathed, straight surfaces.
The Bob Ironman is a very attractive stroller. The bright yellow color is gender-neutral, and attention-getting, which is also a safety feature since you are likely to find yourself jogging on streets, not sidewalks.

I bought this stroller to use for running, and have a different stroller for walks. The Ironman does not work well as an all-purpose stroller, because the front wheel does not rotate and because the fluid gliding motion is really only a plus if you're running. If you aren't, it just increases the risk you could lose control of the stroller on a hill. Plus, while the basket is ample storage for going out for a run, it lacks cup holders and other features you'd want on an all-purpose stroller.
There is a lot of conflicting information out there about what age you can put a kid in a running stroller. BOB recommends that your child be 8-months old to use the Ironman. I might be a cautious mom, but personally, I think closer to a year is safer if your roads are anything like the ones in my neighborhood -- bumpy. Even with a great suspension, your child will get bounced around a bit. That being said, the harness system is very secure and appears to be comfortable for the child.
The running motion is great. It's so fluid I often feel like I am chasing the stroller instead of pushing it, especially on downward inclines. While the suspension is the best I've seen in running strollers, it is still pretty bumpy if you are on a sidewalk or off road. This and all running strollers seem to work best on flat, straight, smooth road or trails.
I've found the sun shade to be sufficient, although like in most strollers, if you plan to run in the high-afternoon, some cover or sun-screen on your little one's legs will be needed. The Ironman has a flap you can pull up on the shade to take a peek at the child's head. It's useful for checking if they are still awake/being bounced around too much.
Overall, this is a very high-end running stoller which will be useful for people who actually plan to run, especially if they have access to smooth, well-paved straight aways. I do not recommend it as an all-purpose stroller.
