| Fumanku's Full Review: B&W CC6 S2 Center Speaker |
Having recently purchased a new 40"TV, I found myself shopping for speakers and a new receiver. I had given much consideration to B&W, Krell, Minipods, and other small Higher End brands. I ended up purchasing BW 601s2 for fronts, CC6s2 for the center, and LM1s for the rear. After about 1 month of use, I must say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire setup. The CC6 center utilizes the same technology as B&Ws Nautilus line. Looks were stunning, with yellow Kevlar drivers, and a titanium dome tweeter. I like to display mine without the grill, showcasing the unique looks. (I also think that the sound is a little clearer this way.) Dialogue is the primary function of the center channel, and the CC6 handles it perfectly. I heard voices very clear, almost as if they were coming from someone in my room. Although somewhat lacking in bass, this can easily be remedied by adding any decent sub woofer to your setup. At $350, the price may be a little steep, but there is nothing else that can compare to the CC6 in its class.
