| hypocrisy5's Full Review: Bacardi 151 Rum |
What we have before us (me) is a 1 liter bottle of Bacardi 151, unfortunately it's empty. But that statement is a double edged sword, although I really believe in getting smashed while drinking spirit, beer, wine, etc..., I don't exactly jump at the prospect of drinking this stuff. Hell, aside from the 180 Proof Devil Spring's Vodka, I've never swallowed such strong a drink. And to be perfectly honest, it was easier to handle the taste of the stronger Vodka.
Upon opening up a (large) bottle of this poison, you'll notice the screen at the opening of the bottle. I don't know the exact purpose of this screen but I believe it's used to slow down the flow of the rum when being poured. Smart move from the boys at the factory because you never want more than what you asked for with this baby.
Now if you smell it, you'll reel back from how much its scent burns your nostrils. Finally, drinking and tasting it will leave you gagging!!
The taste is most compared to that of rubbing alcohol or just "liquid fire". Seriously, if you rather enjoy your beverage, don't even go after this stuff unless it's mixed (says right on the bottle that it's not recommended straight). To be perfectly honest, at this stage in life I still like to get drunk so I can recommend this to anyone with the same prospective. Everyone else, beware.
The only reason I ever drink this monstrosity is when I really want to get hammered. And most of the time, it left me with an angry belly and a toilet bowl full of stomach lining.
