I do agree that on it's own, or with a mixer 40/60 as you described, this stuff tastes like rubbing alcohol (yuck). However, if you try it with a strong mixer (juice, colada or daiquiri mix) and only use 1oz 151 per 8oz mixer...I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
I must admit though, it was refreshing to see a well written liquor review that didn't kiss the manufacturers butt! Heh Heh

I am a bartender and any good bartender knows that 151 is used only for flambe and topshelf margaritas. If you want to drown your sorrows in alcohol (which I think is so mentally unhealthy, or just unhealthy for that matter) drink everclear with kuice or koolaid, that will sure land you in the hospital.

Actually it was 151 and iced tea in a double shot glass. Not a double shot of 151 and some iced tea.

10 oz.? are you kidding? A shot is 1 oz., therefore that means I drank 5 oz. If I had consumed 10 oz. in that time, I would have probably died from alcohol poisoning.

Maybe if you hadn't consumed 10oz in a half hour, you wouldn't have gotten sick. Just about any liquor in that amount, in that increment of time would make you sick.
I've used 151 to make Strawberry Daquiri's and they are always delicious!
