Pros: Sleek look.
Cons: No volume control, very loud, expensive, mounting bracket complicated, no instructions.
The Bottom Line: Avoid this model, stick with the Whistler line. At least you can control the volume with those.

I purchased this at Circuit City for $129 today, and returned it - today. The reviews on circuit city's site were mostly positive, and the reviews on this site were about the same. I decided to splurge and get this.
First, the unit came with NO instructions, nothing. No information, no address to write to, no troubleshooting tips, nada. Nothing on the outside of the box either.
This unit also has NO volume control! You would think that an expensive detector like this would allow for such a luxury, but noooooo. The volume is set to one level - "the headache generator". It seriously sounds like a wounded eagle. Did I mention there isn't even a 'quiet' button? It's either On or Off, no control of volume. If you have passengers in the car, they take a back seat to the squeeling sounds this makes.
The mounting bracket is far too complex and bulky. It's a big metal contraption, that both clings to your windshield and can also be clipped to your sunvisor. The stupid thing was almost impossible to pivot to get the right "angle" on the windshield.
It detected radar from a decent distance, but no more further than the Whistler 1734 I bought to take it's place. The Whistler was a much better deal at $59 from Wal-mart.
