hookem202's Full Review: Beltronics Pro RX65 Radar Detector
The bel rx-65 is one of the "Top 3" radar detectors made today. I currently own both of the other 2, inclunding the v1 and escort x50. The Rx-65 is perfect detector for the serious driver. In 2005 Speed Measurement Labatories who test all Radar detectors made anually and compare their performance, ranked the Rx-65 the best detector on ka-band. Ka-band is said to be one of the hardest bands to detect. Not only does the rx-65 have awesome range, but is packed with feature, including smartcord, progammable bands, progammble display,ku-band.What i mainly like is that if a radar band is not used in your area such as x-band,you can turn it off. No more falses! Also what makes the top 3 stand out from all other radardetecors is that they can report k-band,ka-band,x-band all at once. While most radar detectos would be alerting to that k-band false from a bank, a police office could be shooting ka-band behind the bank and other radar detectors users would haveno clue. They would recieve a ticket. This wouldnt be the outcome with the bel rx-65. The detection range is phenominial. I recieved a 2.6 mile advance warning on a police officer shooting k-band on my local highway. If it wernt for my v1's arrows indicating where the radar source is, the bel rx-65 would be my main radar detector i would use.
