Pros: Very good stain removal, small, long cord, rotating brushes, inexpensive
Cons: Loud. Getting the right angle & pressure for suction is AWKWARD to LABOURSOME, but worthwhile.
The Bottom Line: Worth the work for the small size & price. And it's for spot lifting anyway so you're not really doing that much work on the grand scale of things anyway!

What an effective little machine! Exactly what I needed for our messes
-pureed carrots (baby)
-puke (cats)
-coffee (me)
-beer (hubby)
-wine (friends)
I do wish it was easier to use, but for the price, effectiveness, & convenient small size I cannot say I am unhappy with this thing.
The Problem..
It is very awkward to get suction. You have to tilt the machine forward, press down firmly, & pull toward you. This leaves you holding the weight of the machine at the rear, pressing a small edge into the carpet rather than a surface, & then pulling toward you. You also wonder what part of the machine you are supposed to bear your weight on when pressing down. There should be a handle/lever on the front to counterbalance all the work you're doing. Bissell, take note!
The Story - if you want to hear it..
I was originally going to purchase a Filterstream Dirttamer Wet/Dry HandVac. The reviews were amazing (all excellent) but this thing was really difficult to find (only online, & not on many sites) & my man thought we needed a deep cleaner instead of a wet/dry vac.
So then my man got me excited about the Bissell Little Green Deep Cleaner.
I read the reviews & was prepared to deal with the cited problems/drawbacks. I wanted the model with rotating brushes & heat but none of the stores sold that one so I sent my hubby to get the basic model from WalMart.
As I should have expected, he did things his own way & came home with something different (the Bissell SpotLifter Powerbrush). I was irritated, but what he bought did have rotating brushes, & it was 1/2 the price of the Little Green, & smaller too.
So I gave it a try on an old really dark stained area (on the downstairs carpets that are going to be replaced because they're so bad) & it really showed off what it could do! Nice, clean spot in the middle of the carpet! Though I won't do the whole area - not worth it, too much work.
All in all I'm glad he went and bought this thing instead of the Little Green.
So.. the rest of what you need to know...
-The brushes scrub well.
-The machine doesn't heat the liquid mix but there's no need as you can use hot tap water when you fill the reservoir.
-The powercord is nice & long, & has a 'test/reset' thing on it to protect you from electrocution.
-The clean solution tank is small but plenty for the spot removal it is supposed to tackle.
-The dirty collection tank is twice as large as the clean solution tank. Not really necessary but no harm.
-The caps on the two tanks are difficult to tighten & unscrew. Do-able but difficult.
-The thing is loud, so I'm always having to do it while my baby is awake, which is not always easy.
-They say it takes about 6 hrs average for the treated carpet area to dry enough to walk on.
-& of course, the above-mentioned problem of angling/pressing the machine for suction.
Long term use & durability..
-No idea, I haven't had it long.
