THANKS andykay! I always look for ratings where the product has been put through extended use and I am grateful for the sometimes lone voice of reason out there that gives a low rating when deserved.

I too have a Bissell steam cleaner, have had for nearly three years and AndyKay described the flaws exactly as they've happened with me. Although my troubles go so far as to replacing the pump, as well as the motor, not to mention numerous belt replacements. I also read his review on the Hoover and based on his knowledge and accurate attention to detail on the Bissell, I plan to purchase the Hoover based on his recommendation. The Vac place we used to repair our Bissell also commented that though they are excellent when it tip top shape, she does see more Bissells than Hoovers come in for repair.

I wanted to explain my Helpful rating ... It is not my intention to come across as overly picky, and I did find the information you provided very useful. I do not own or have seen this product though, and I had to keep referring to the picture to try and decipher what pieces or parts you were referring to - for example, the onboard tools - what are they and how many? To me, a brief overview of the entire piece and how it is put together would have really helped me to understand exactly how this product would look and begin to perform if I were to start to use it -
