I choose a light carpet when we built our house and with little kids it didn't stay clean for long. When I started looking for a carpet cleaner I wanted one with an attachment so I could do stairs, car upholstery, and individual spots as needed. I decided on this Bissell ProHeat Scotchgard Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum and have not had many regrets. There are many features that I like, one feature that I frequently use is changing the setting to high traffic area and this lets me use more of the solution and get a deeper clean in the area's in each room that get walked over the most. I then use the normal setting in the remaining area of the room and it save on the solution I use. Another feature that is great is the ProHeat. I had a spot cleaner machine that was not heated and I can see a huge difference in my carpet. The attachment is awesome and is also heated. It has a scrub brush as part of the attachment, which works great on my car upholstery. This carpet cleaner has been very helpful to me and is simple to use. I only wish it had a bigger water tank, I feel I am refilling the tank quite often. Other than that I can't complain.
