Bissell Quick Steamer Plus
No one likes dirty carpet. When we first moved into our current residence our carpet was brand new. Trying to keep our carpet with a “new and clean” look we never wore our shoes in the house and asked our company to take off their shoes as well. However after 9 months of living in our residence, our carpets were dirty.
Well we decided that we wanted to look around and see if we could find an affordable steam cleaner. We chose to buy the Bissell Quick Steamer Plus.
While this is not exactly what we were looking for, it is a very good product and it does its job.
The Bissell Quick Steamer Plus is an upright steam cleaner that is shaped like a vacuum cleaner. It has a removable tank on the backside that holds the water and the carpet cleaner solution. To release the water/solution mix there is a trigger up near the handle of the steamer that you push in to release the mixture. Once you are ready to vacuum the mixture off of the carpet you use the steam cleaner as you would a normal vacuum cleaner. The water is then held in the head of the vacuum cleaner (the head meaning the part of the cleaner that is on the floor and that sucks the dirt up). When the head is full you remove it and empty out the water. The Bissell Quick Steamer Plus also can convert to a bare floor cleaner.
So now that I have told you about the Bissell Quick Steamer Plus let me tell you how it has preformed for me. As I said above it does not have a rotating brush. So part of the success of cleaning the carpets must come from you running the steam cleaner over the carpet several times. I have gotten my best results from letting the carpet cleaner solution sit on the floor from 30 minutes to an hour. Well this quick steamer has worked really well for me. I have used it to clean my living room and the results have been wonderful. The carpet looks great. Even high traffic areas are clean and fluffy.
You can buy the Bissell Quick Steamer Plus at Wal-Mart, Kmart, or Sears. You can find out what stores in your area carry the cleaner by going to the Bissell website and going to the products area.
I have seen the cleaning solutions for Bissell Steam Cleaners at Wal-Mart for $8.99. There is the regular formula and then the formula for pet odors.
I would recommend this for anyone who is interested in cleaning portions of their carpet but not your entire floor of carpet.
