Pros: Plays mp3 discs, Dustproof, Stores discs in charging compartment, Very durable
Cons: poor radio reception
On my jobsite, the radio is the first tool to be plugged in in the morning, and the last to be packed up at the end of the day. It gets more use than anything else on site. The Bosch radio stands up to more abuse than any other radio on the market. The box states that it can survive a ten foot drop. That's great, but the biggest killer of CD players is dust. This radio is completely sealed at every seam. The CD drawer is protected with a rubber gasket. It's dustproof. I've been using mine for about a year now, and it still plays CD's like the day I bought it. It also plays MP3 CD's, so you can put in a CD with more than eight hours of music on it. Also, the battery charging compartment is the perfect place to store your CD's, with room for ten or more discs.
I use the Bosch mainly for the MP3 player, as I record internet radio, and burn it to discs. This is a good thing because it is usually very difficult to get good radio reception. Even the strongest station comes through weak and staticky. If you are not into playing discs, and are just looking to play the radio, then I'd suggest finding one with better reception.
One improvement I'd like to see on the next model would be a display that shows the song information on it. Currently it only shows the track number.
