Pros: Very clean dishes and is almost silent.
Cons: Cost, doesn't dry well, racks less than user-friendly.
Have had ours for little over a month now. Don't think I've had to re-wash anything and still trying to get out of the habit of pre-scrubbing.
Used an old GE prior and I'd prob be happy enough with another, but that was at a rental house and the old Maytag d/w in the house we just bought was AWFUL rack-wise; (plates on the top, glasses left to topple on the bottom, very strange.) So, a Sears saleslady talked us into the Bosch, to replace the Maytag with.
And the Bosch DOES clean quite excellently, however, I too, find the racks, especially the top rack less than drinking-glass-friendly. If silence were a major factor, I'd rate that at the highest, but this house is so big we can't hear anything from room to room anyway. But it'd be important in any standard-sized home.
I don't care for it having to be manually shut off, and have found that the dishes have a lot of condensation?, even dirty ones if left for a day -what's with that? It didn't seem to leave wet dishes early-on, but after a few weeks of use the dishes are always wet when I take them out, even if left for hours. The problem isn't unique to this Bosch, but is much more prevalent and I've no idea what causes it. If anyone knows a remedy, other than maybe leaving the door open for a while, please let me know!
For the price, it should at the least compete with an old GE!
