Pros: Radio frequency remote works wonders all through home.
Cons: Somewhat high price.
The Bottom Line: Probably one of the best music systems. One touch operation of functions from both remote and music center. Uncluttered and sleek modern appearance.

| chewybuster's Full Review: Bose LifeStyle 5 Series-III CD Shelf System |
Hello, I just recently purchased the Bose Lifestyle 5 Music System directly from Bose at a Factory Outlet Store during their holiday sale. I live in an apartment and was drawn to the Lifestyle System's amazing small size and ability to blend in well with the decor. Yes, space was a serious consideration in the confines of an apartment where I have placed the system in my master bedroom. The Lifestyle 5 Series III System seemingly disappeared from view yet produced sound that rivaled that of much larger rack component systems.
I have only had the Lifestyle System for one week now and am enjoying without any regrets my purchase of the system. Some of the great pro's of the Lifestyle 5 is the great advanced technology that went into developing the system by the Bose Engineers. They have engineered a music system where music is the force to be enjoyed, NOT the usual stack of complicated audio equipment. The Lifestyle Systems are the most effortless to use by any person, with one button operation of the CD player and AM/FM tuner. And the radio frequency remote works beautifully from all over the house and even outside. And the sound with the direct / reflecting cube arrays produces sound that makes the listening area seem to largely expand. You forget that you are listening to such a small system.
I really do not have any features that I dislike about it. I must say that the Bose Lifestyle 5 in my opinion and experience with the system is to me probably the best music system around and I think that is enough said.
I highly recommend this product to those who are in the market for small size, simplicity of use, and ease of placement in tight rooms. The sound from the mere six inch tall cube arrays left me in awe when I was listening to the full CD of the Phantom of the Opera. It seemed like the characters were there with me in the room. I even kind of jumped in surprise during some high points of the Phantom of the Opera, as I was fully immersed in the listening experience.
